Installation Message

Brothers & Sisters,

I am honored to have been elected to lead the Grand Lodge of Ohio for the 25-26 Lodge year. The last two years on the Executive Board has been a great tool to prepare me for being your Grand Master. I have had the privledge to work with some amazing Odd Fellows and learn from the best.

This year, my objectives as Grand Master is three fold. First, to promote harmony and growth across the State of Ohio by establishing a communication committee to bring lodges across the state together and working with each other. I hope to accomplish this by selecting a committee made up of people all across Ohio to participate in the building and improving our website, starting a bi-monthly news letter, bringing information about Odd Fellowship in our State and around the country to the local lodges and members.

Second, to develop programs at the Grand Lodge level that can help our local lodges in ways that will aid them in promoting growth and sustainability within their own lodge. I believe that the number one reason the Grand Lodge is here, is to aid our lodges in any way that promotes the sustainability of the Order.

Third, to bring our Grand Lodge into the 21st century, ushering in technology and restructuring our order to accommodate for the new generations who will inherit our order as we did from our forefathers. Change is not always easy, but regardless, it has to happen eventually or the Order will cease to exist. We owe it to the forefathers of almost 200 years in Ohio to hand down our traditions, and build a membership that will survive another 200 years.

While working on these three goals, I hope to work closely with the local lodges, promote the interest of younger members getting involved with the Grand Lodge and work closely with my counterpart at the Rebekah Assembly to accomplish these goals.
